What Is A Healthy Diet
Quite often, when people hear the term ‘healthy diet,’ they develop an unusual fear of abandoning meals, fasting and a strenuous phase to shrink off their weight. However, it is not the case, it just implies that an individual should stop eating anything that could potentially make him obese or halt the mainstream biological processes in the body.
So if we want to pursue a healthy diet, we should focus on plant-based diet, instead of unhealthy refined products. Any dietary component that boosts your health can be classified under the title of ‘healthy diet.’
Let us have a look at an array of food items classified as such:
♦ Fruits
♦ Vegetables
♦ Starch
♦ Proteins
♦ Fats
♦ Fiber

A lot of you might complain that fats and starch should not be listed because of their tendency to encourage obesity. However, it should be noted that none of the above-mentioned dietary components is bad for your health. In fact, these are the components we must consume to stay healthy and sound. Here is something interesting to notice. If we start taking these ‘healthy’ items in abundance, we might not end up where we initially planned. Therefore, even while pursuing a healthy diet, you need to maintain a sheer balance.
To enjoy a healthy diet, you could do the following:
» Stop eating saturated fat
» Encourage the use of polyunsaturated fat
» Equip your body with adequate amount of protein (eat fish twice a week)
» Eat nuts and wholegrain
» Do not consume more than 6g of salt per day
» Quit alcohol usage
» Avoid fizzy drinks
» Avoid high-calorie diet
» Do not pursue refined products
Just think about it for a while.
If your body is consuming a healthy diet while keeping its reserves loaded at all instances, how could it come under attack from any disease? It is that simple to understand! Quite interestingly, the ultimate beneficiary of a healthy diet is your immune system. Whatever you eat, has an explicit effect on your health and particularly, the immune system. So, if you are eating a reasonably healthy diet and maintain balance as well, then you are on the verge of sabotaging any ‘foreign’ attack on your health. However, to eat healthily, you need to regulate your diet. It means that even though we are aware of the benefits of (let’s say) fiber, if we leave everything else and keep on eating fiber, we are off to nowhere! So, a healthy, yet balanced diet is always pivotal.
